Custom Telephony Integration Guide
Overview
This guide walks you through how to connect your preferred telephony provider with your Voicei AI agents so you can use your existing numbers seamlessly. It applies regardless of the type of agent you're deploying. Two integration methods are supported:
- Elastic SIP Trunking – Best for providers that support SIP trunking.
Shared Infrastructure and Connectivity Details
- Voicei SIP endpoint: sip:5t4n6j0wnrl.sip.livekit.cloud
- United States IP ranges (for allowlisting):
- 143.223.88.0/21
- 161.115.160.0/19
- 143.223.88.0/21
- Transport protocols: UDP, TCP, TLS
- Media encryption: SRTP
Voicei leverages Livekit’s infrastructure for SIP signaling and media transport. While U.S. IP ranges are available now, static IP blocks for other regions are under development.
Method 1: Elastic SIP Trunking
What it is: A cloud communications service that bridges your PBX or VoIP system with the PSTN using SIP.
How it works with Voicei: This setup enables full telephony functionality via your provider, as long as they support SIP trunking.
Guides available for popular providers:
- Twilio
- Telnyx
When to use it: If your provider supports SIP trunking, this method is strongly recommended for full compatibility.
Support options: If you need static IP addresses or run into setup issues, Voicei suggests working with their partner Jambonz, which offers mutual TLS and static IP–friendly SIP trunking with dedicated Slack support.
